The Light Within

When I discovered photography it changed my life.

Everything we see is light. Light reflected on all of the things, people and places that surround us. It is something that shape our entire existence: from the streets we walk everyday, the trees in the forest and their leaves falling, the top of the mountain and the clouds till the waves of the sea and the house we leave in.

But what is even more important is the different kind of light that make our life really beautiful: the light within, the one that shapes our emotions, the one that lets us see beyond the obvious, the one that can define joy, sadness, love, beauty, hope, dreams…

When I discovered photography it changed my life. It taught me how to see the light in both its forms and how their combination can reveal the greatness of a moment. My passion evolved as I discovered that through photography I was getting to know myself better while understanding the others and more of the world around me. The excitement and joy of capturing the perfect moment make me disregard the mud on my shoes or the frozen finger on the shutter; it’s a wonderful moment of completely forgetfulness.

Besides all these, photography opened new doors for me, giving me the chance to meet new and wonderful people, to travel to fascinating places, to discover a lot of interesting things. It’s a continuous search that I would never want to stop. I want to keep on looking for the “bright side of life” by observing the beauty in things and people and share their great stories. I strongly believe there’s something beautiful in everything, and everyone can see it. It just needs to be placed in the right light.
